Biography by Eleanor Joy McDonald
It was amazing that a country Eleanor fell in love with during lessons in Grade 3 - Holland - she would actually get to live on one of its islands, Bonaire. From 1973-1984, Eleanor and her husband Lloyd served with Trans World Radio, a missionary radio station situated on Bonaire in the Caribbean Netherlands. Her son, John, now retired, spends half the year on Bonaire, speaking Dutch, and sharing his LOVE of scuba diving through teaching or just pleasure diving in its incredible coral reefs, accessible from shore.
